Your career, on the record.
Five tools, one free account. Put your certificates and sea time in once and the rest builds from them: what's left before your next ticket, references from your captains, and one link that shows a captain all of it.
Loading your record…
How it fits together
Each tool feeds the next. Start at the top; nothing further down asks you for something you've already entered.
- 1
Certificates
Every ticket and its expiry date, with the scan kept on file.
- You:
- Photograph or upload them — several at once — and check what was read.
- You get:
- A warning before anything lapses (by email if you switch it on), and your tickets on the passport.
- 2
Sea service logbook
Every boat you've served on and every day aboard.
- You:
- Add each boat, or photograph your discharge book. Tick “still on board” and it counts itself.
- You get:
- Your progress towards OOW or Yachtmaster, and the testimonial your captain signs.
- 3
Career pathway
What's left before your next ticket, in what order, and roughly when.
- You:
- Pick the ticket you're working towards and your rotation.
- You get:
- Your sea time comes straight from your logbook, and your ENG1 date from your certificates.
- 4
Endorsements
References from captains and heads of department, in their own name.
- You:
- Write the statement, send the link by WhatsApp or email. They tap confirm — no account.
- You get:
- A dated, named reference on your passport that outlives their phone number.
- 5
Career passport
Everything above on one page, behind one private link.
- You:
- Add your photo and contact details, turn the link on, print the QR on your CV.
- You get:
- Captains and agencies see a current, honest record — revoke the link any time.
Testimonial or endorsement?
A sea service testimonial is the signed form that proves your sea time for a certificate application. OnDeck fills it in from your logbook and emails it to your captain to sign and stamp. The signed paper is what the MCA counts.
An endorsement is a reference — a captain vouching for you in their own words. It helps you get the next job. It is not sea time.
Honest labels, always
What you log yourself is shown as self-logged. A captain's confirmation through OnDeck is shown as “attested via OnDeck” with their name and the date. Nothing here is presented as MCA or PYA verification, and the pathway is a self-check against published requirements — the MCA makes the decision.
