Every day aboard — counted.
Log each boat once. The logbook counts your sea time against the MCA OOW and Master (Yachts) tickets and the RYA Yachtmasters, and builds the testimonial your captain signs when you leave.
- 1Add each boat you've served on — or photograph your discharge book and import it.
- 2On board now? Tick “still on board” and it counts every day until you sign off.
- 3When you leave, split the days and send the testimonial to your captain to sign.

MCA Training Record Book — Yacht Ratings & OOW (Yachts <3000 GT)
The official MCA TRB (Revision 22, 81 pages). This is the book you complete on board for your Yacht Rating certificate, and the same volume carries through to OOW — fully completed, it must be presented to the examiner at your oral. Print it, get every task signed as you actually do it, and keep the original clean and dry: arriving with a complete, tidy TRB in a folder is read — correctly — as a signal of how you keep a ship.
